Exclusive Sara Rayo Print Playing Board
A surface defined by absence.
Constructed as a 30mm deep form beneath glass, the board alternates between solid black squares and open voids. Within these recessed spaces, Rayo’s folded compositions sit - held below the surface rather than applied to it.
Light moves across the board, catching edges and depth, shifting the perception of each square. What appears minimal from above reveals complexity in relief.
Produced as an edition of 20, the board balances precision with spatial tension - structure set against interruption.
The game rests on the surface. The work exists just beneath it.
